New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that members of the ‘Class of ‘92’ will be given coaching roles at the club. Having taken on Ryan Giggs as his assistant at Old Trafford, Van Gaal is keen to keep Manchester United legends Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville on the coaching staff. Butt, Scholes and Neville, who were all part of the ‘Class of ‘92’, assisted Giggs during the latter part of last season following David Moyes’ sacking as the manager of United, and former Netherlands boss Van Gaal is determined to find roles for Scholes and Neville. Butt is already assisting us. Scholes - we will find a role for him. And we also want to find a role for Phil Neville,” Van Gaal said during his first press conference. “But it has to be possible within the qualities of these people. We will speak to them about it personally.
