New Orleans, I Pray that since many of Us are at home today, that We think of the state of Our city for ALL of Us & of ALL communities. The totality of where this city is which should cause ALL of us to want to go out & VOTE this Saturday! 52% Black Males jobless rate. Which some of that is the fault of some of those Black Males. But 52%, something is wrong or has been designed to be WRONG! 60% of contracts being given to out of towners is atrocious & disrespectful to the majority People of this city. Now yesterday i was at a meeting where a criminal judge made made mention that the District Attorneys office excepts 90% of the cases that comes before them weather they are felonies or not. So in a city thats lets say 52% Black. 60% city contracts given to out of towners. 52% of the Black Males Jobless & the D.A. takes to trail 90% of ALL cases brought to his office! Im see a system thats failing the Largest segment of this City & We are not Angry as a whole. Not Our Pastors or Our community Leaders because there is no OUTCRY! We still have no economic stimulus in the hood to help detoure crime. Still no school system for the citizenship which is up to date with other States. 2014 & the Negro still aint free, just taking stuff & not fighting hard for parity. I wonder is this Dr. Kings dream where He went to the mountain top & saw the promise land? We dont even vote after not that many years ago People had to fight, were jailed & died for this very same right! Its important to go out & VOTE! You, Your 1 VOTE does count & adds UP. The only thing done in Black communities is folk been repairing there own houses. TO SAY WE HAVE ALL THAT FEMA MONEY, WHAT HAS REALLY BEEN DONE, OF IMPORTANCE FOR THE HOODS OF NEW ORLEANS? NOT BY JUST THE MAYOR BUT THIS CITY COUNCIL AS WELL! HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS & AS A WHOLE. HOW HAVE WE THE BLACK COMMUNITY BENEFITED FROM 1 TEAM, NO DIVIDE? DIVISION is what we have! VOTE, THIS SATURDAY, VOTE!!
