New Plymouth Boys High School defeated Wellington College 82-70 to take the BBNZ Zone 3 Junior Secondary School championship at the TSB Stadium in New Plymouth today. Wellington College got themselves into the game early on and went out to a 10 point lead in the second period. Their NZ Rep Issac Letoa was benched when he received his fourth foul and NPBHS seized their opportunity. Letoa came back into the game for the fourth period but NPBHS, led by their Captain Max Anderson, maintained their lead and never looked back wrapping up the game with the 12 point win.
