A. college of Agriculture, AAU, Anand, Gujarat to study the effect of Phosphorus and Sulphur fertilization on yield , quality and nutrient uptake by soybean. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with factorial concept, comprising sixteen treatment combination of four levels of Phosphorus (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P205 ha-1) and four levels of Sulphur (0, 10, 20 and 30 kg S ha-1) which were replicated four times. The study revealed that yield attributing characters like, plant height, pods per plant, seeds per pod,1000 seed weight, yield and quality parameters like oil , protein and nitrogen content were increased with the increased level of phosphorus and sulphur as compare to control. The increased dose of phosphorus and sulphur fertilization significantly increased total (grain and straw) uptake of nutrient by soybean. The overall result revealed that application of 60 kg P2O5 per hectare and 30 kg sulphur (S) per hectare were found optimum level of phosphorus and sulphur for obtaining maximum yield, oil and protein content and nutrient uptake of soybean as compare to other levels of phosphorus and sulphur respectively. Keywords: Phosphorus, Sulphur, Soybean, Protein content, Oil content, nutrient uptake.
