New York Army National Guard Announces Soldier Promotions LATHAM, N.Y. (04/10/2014) -- Major General Patrick A. Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Lindsay Crabtree from Lowville, and serving with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is promoted to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Jason Ryan from Watertown, and serving with the Company B (Maintenance), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Gary Dollinger from Redwood, and serving with the Company B, 2-108th Infantry is promoted to the rank of Sergeant. James Brown from Theresa, and serving with the Forward Support Company, 204th Engineer Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Jose Acostamarin from Adams Center, and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 102nd military Police Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist. Kyle Sharpe from Richville, and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 102nd military Police Battalion is promoted to the rank of Specialist. Jon Sahagun from Fort Drum, and serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-108th Infantry is promoted to the rank of Specialist. Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
