New York International Holocaust Remembrance Day Due to the weather conditions and the warnings issued by the NYC authorities, the Remembrance Day reading of the names scheduled for Tuesday, January 27th is cancelled. Every year on January 27, the Italian Consulate in New York is the place where the International Holocaust Remembrance Day is celebrated in the most emotional way. The doors of the Consulate are opened on busy Park Avenue, a line of microphones is set up and hundreds of people gather to honor the fallen Italian victims of Auschwitz. We post our video with one of this important days at the Italian Consulate. 2012 was the year of “Call for Musicians” too. In fact the call was extended by the event organizers to all the instrumentalists who wish to contribute with their talent in creating the right atmosphere, providing an engaging and meditative soundscape for this important commemoration.
