New York, NY – Fresh from a successful collaborative dinner in San Francisco’s Saison earlier this month, Chef Matthew Lightner and Chef Joshua Skenes are crafting an exclusive menu together on Monday, November 18 at Atera. Skenes plans on recreating some of Saison’s most beloved dishes such as pine mushrooms grilled over a bed of shrubs and Monterey Bay abalone roasted over embers, which reflect his singular point of view on modern California cuisine. Saison’s network of foragers and purveyors supply the extraordinary ingredients that the restaurant carefully prepares from scratch each day, incorporating fire cooking techniques and various aging processes that result in dishes that are complex yet refined. Lightner will highlight the wild-food dishes he has come to be known for, showcasing products from nearby farms as well as herbs grown in Atera’s subterranean hydroponic garden. Head Sommelier Scott Cameron will hand pick the wines to match with each chef’s course that evening. Reservations for the collaboration dinner can be made by calling 212.226.1444 during Atera’s office hours: 11:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The dinner is $500/pp, inclusive of wines. Availability is limited to 30 guests total with the first seating at 6:00pm and the second at 9:30pm.
