New challenge for Parkinsons Disease Awareness! The Pie in the Face for Parkinsons! Another horrible disease that kinda locks you inside you body. Although, Parkinsons itself doesnt actually kill you like ALS can. You generally die from complications of Parkinsons disease. My hubbys father died of Parkinsons complications years ago, so this particular cause is near and dear to My heart. My hubby has carried fears, ever since he was old enough to understand his fathers disease, that it might somehow be hereditary. There is no indication, at present, that it is, although having relatives with Parkinsons Does put you at a slightly higher risk of developing it. Heres another little tidbit regarding Parkinsons that you might not know. Robin Williams was in the early stages of Parkinsons and was taking a med for Parkinsons at the time of his death. This video is a friend of a dear friend of mine. Shes doing the ice bucket challenge but is also starting her Own challenge for Parkinsons in honor of her father who is currently battling it. This new challenge is to help fund the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research. Wont YOU except this new challenge?!?!? (even tho I havent personally called any of you to do it. Yet) and help jump start this new movement to bring awareness to Parkinsons Disease the way So Many have to ALS? Once again, its called the Pie in the Face for Parkinsons!
