New figures show that an assault on a teacher happens nearly every day in the Scottish Borders. This shockingly high statistic is unacceptable, and we need to be doing more to empower our teachers to take necessary action where appropriate while also looking into more effective preventative strategies for pupils who have shown patterns of abusive behaviour.
