New lunch counter in downtown Providence called "Cilantro Mexican Grille." Good stuff. It is patterned after Subway Sandwich shops in that you get to pick the ingredients and they assemble your burrito right in front of you. Good stuff, and hearty portions, which is another authentic Mexican custom I also notice several shops around Providence advertising that they sell halal food. These were not there 7 years ago when we left. Apparently there must have been an influx of moslems into the city in recent years, probably refugees. I remember that Lewiston Maine now has a sizable Somali community. I shall have to investigate the Providence situation and get back to you.
