New research collection published to help welfare of working equids A new collection of research articles, published online this month by the Equine Veterinary Journal (EVJ) and sponsored by World Horse Welfare (WHW), aims to build greater understanding and encourage collaboration in addressing the welfare problems of the world’s working equids. In an introductory editorial, Dr Ali of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan outlines the contribution that donkeys make to human health and there is a report from the recent International Colloquium on Working equids. The collection currently contains seven research articles. Future research articles will be added to the collection as new data emerges on the veterinary problems that are faced by working equids.
