New review of Curtain Call in the British Mag The Rocker.. Thanks Nick ! Time for some modern, yet old school metal, and we’re off to the cantons of Switzerland to catch up with Blasted. And blast they do. Formed by Nico (guitar), Simon (drums), Guillaume (bass) and Carlos (vocals) they give the horns up to Pantera, Lamb Of God and Stone Sour for their riffs and melodies. They’ve got a wee bit of form as well, as they’ve punted out a few albums since forming in 2006, as well as touring with the likes of Pro Pain, Samael, Zuul Fx and Gurd. And they make a good racket, especially on tunes like ‘Somebody Stop Me’ and ‘Lost Knowledge’, which mix up the aggression with some technical and interesting arrangements. A good ‘un, this.
