New to the group (thanks for the add), and Ive got a question for discussion. How diligently do you clean up your audio before submission? (And by this, I mean pops, clicks and whatnot that an automated scans will not pickup, not editing for content.) Perhaps Im overly anal, but listening to the Audie nominations recently, specifically Neil Gaimans most recent book along with several others (including even Michael Kramer), and every few seconds I hear a pop, plosive or other mouth noise which would never make it past my own QC process. While I do want to turn out the best work possible, that level of cleanup takes an extraordinary amount of focus and time; and not being that obsessive would speed my process (and therefore profits) dramatically. Im interested to hear the groups thoughts. Thanks in advance.
