#News: #Ethiopia celebrates the 7th #EthiopianNationalFlagDay Ethiopians across the nation are celebrating the 7th Ethiopian National Flag Day, today, Monday (October 13). The main ceremony will be held in the Addis Ababa Stadium to mark the occasion. A statement issued by the Government Communication Affairs Office, called on Ethiopians to renew their commitment to further enhance development while marking the day. The National Flag Day, it said, is a day for all the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples of Ethiopia to renew their promises to attain their common vision through the unity they willingly created. The statement pointed out that the manifests the unity and togetherness of the people as expressed in the constitution they endorsed in creating one political and economic community. The message of flag enables Ethiopians to continue marching on the path of their renaissance to extricate themselves from poverty and backwardness. The current flag of Ethiopia was adopted on October 31, 1996. The central emblem represents both the diversity and unity of the country. Blue represents peace, the star represents diversity and unity, and the suns rays symbolize prosperity.
