News: Solidarity action planned for Colwyn Hardings friend This Friday April 11 at 9 am, at the Court of Appeal, the Colwyn Harding Support Group has planned a support and solidarity action for Teneisha Evans who is serving a 2 years prison sentence for selling a TV belonging to a relative. The money according to the committee was used as part of efforts to raise the $50,000 bail money to secure the release of her friend Colwyn Harding. Harding was allegedly brutally beaten, raped with a baton and tortured at the hands of police ranks at the Timehri Police station. As a result of the alleged theft of the television Teneisha was arrested and charged. According to the committee because she could not afford her own bail money and had no access to a lawyer she was found guilty and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment. Those coordinating the the solidarity action according to a press release are Melissa Ifill, Joy Marcus and Danuta Radzik all from the Colwyn Harding Support Committee.
