News: The Immigration Department has confirmed that a Hong Kong resident had boarded the Malaysian aircraft which went missing yesterday en route from Kuala Lumpur to #Peking . Meanwhile, the Malaysian authorities say theyre investigating the identities of two passengers who were travelling on stolen #EU ropean passports. The Malaysian Transport Minister says the entire passenger list of the flight to #Peking is being investigated. Senior Malaysian defence officials have been giving details of the continuing search operation in the South #China Sea for the missing plane. The head of Malaysias armed forces said 40 ships and 22 aircraft were now searching in two areas where the plane could have crashed. He said radar tracking the plane indicated that it may have turned back from its scheduled route to #Peking before disappearing. In #Peking , a spokesman of Malaysia Airlines, Ignati #US Ong, told reporters that once the missing aircraft is located, a Response Control Centre will be activated to support the needs of the victims families. In the meantime, its making arrangements with the #Chinese authorities and Malaysias Embassy to ensure that those wishing to travel to Kuala Lumpur will get the visas they need.
