News flash.... Olivia has just been invited to a large amusement park here in Ontario with a friend (boy) from her Aspergers Teen group AND his family. Its not a surprise to me that Liv has more boy friends than girl friends. She finds it hard to relate to all things girl...like boy-talk, giggles and silliness. She much prefers the logical company of boys. They dont talk a lot, they dont giggle and they are generally more accepting when Olivia doesnt understand social conventions. You know teen girls...(obviously making sweeping generalizations here) But Olivia doesnt understand the high-pitched squeals and the secrets whispers and beginnings of flirting, and the drama.... Nor does she hide her intolerance of it... So the mother of this boy is supposed to be calling me momentarily to introduce herself and for us to discuss it...and I like that very much. Olivia just said this to me: Ive asked him to have his mother contact you to discuss me going with them. I knew youd want that and he just asked for your name so that his mother could say your name when she called so she could be polite...see???? They are a very polite family, Ma... Dont blink...they grow up overnight... #iminthetwilightzone
