News flash me and Big Ray are leasing a piece of river frontage on the Yuba River in the foot hills of the Sierras . We will be setting up a mining camp . Were going to give dredging and panning a shot. Scouted it all out the other day. The place had one of the biggest gold strikes back in the 1850s . Figured they didnt find it all. Took a lot of pictures . Found an old grave yard . It looks like a bunch of the folks that were mining in that area died of typhoid fever. Wild onions growing everywhere along with different kinds of berries . Piles of rocks every where . I think there called trailings its whats left when you wash away all the dirt and clay. Great swimming holes . There is still old cabins and old buildings from long ago. Plenty of black tail deer bear. Its not as expensive as you would think. Thinking me and Sara will live there and Big Ray will come up on weekends someone has to have a real job . LOL . Maybe some or all of our kids will come up and hang with us.Will either buy a trailer or build a little shack to sleep in. Cant wait , it will be a fun adventure . Friends and family welcome anytime. You will be striped searched when leaving.LOL wish us luck.
