News from IFF CB Meeting 5/2013: South Africa IFF member no 56 — 01.09.2013 The IFF Central Board (CB) had its 5th meeting of the year today in Espoo, Finland and during the meeting Floorball South Africa was accepted as IFF member! Floorball South Africa IFF Member no 56 Floorball South Africa was approved as the provisional IFF member number 56. Mr. Michael Kliment is the President of the association and the headquarters are based in Port Elizabeth. Visit the IFF FSA web page! Interested future IFF event organisers IFF has asked the member associations to apply for the organisations of the U19 WFC and the WFC’s for the years 2017 and 2018. The following member associations have shown their interest to organise the events. Men´s U19 WFC 2015: Poland, Sweden, Slovakia Men’s U19 WFC 2017: Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia Women’s WFC 2017: Switzerland, Slovakia Women’s U19 WFC 2018: Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia Men’s WFC 2018: Czech Republic, Finland, Switzerland, Slovakia The bidding process for the events will now start and the CB will appoint the organisers in the next meeting(s). SEA Games in Myanmar 2013 The Southeast Asian Games have decided that the floorball demonstration tournament will be played with male teams between the 12th and 18th of December 2013 in the city of Naypyidaw. World University Championships in Singapore 2014 The WUFC 2014 will be played in Singapore from June 18th to June 22nd 2014. The IFF has discussed with FISU and there is a need to secure a broad as possible participation in the WUC 2014. IFF is planning to research the possibility to organise a joint transportation from Europe to Singapore. IFF Associations Meeting The IFF Associations Meeting will take place during the 9th Women´s World Floorball Championships played in Czech Republic. The dates for the Associations Meeting are 13th - 14th of December 2013 (Friday - Saturday). The IFF will invite all member associations to attend the Associations Meeting in September. Upcoming IFF Events Champions Cup 2013 The Men´s & Women´s Champions Cup is played in Tampere, Finland, October 2nd - 6th 2013 with 12 teams (6 men´s teams and 6 women´s teams). TV production has been secured and a total of 6-7 matches will be televised in 4-5 countries. The IFF Manufacturer Village will enter the CC2013 with five companies: Exel, Realstick, Swerink, X3M and Unihoc. EuroFloorball Cup 2013EuroFloorball Cup 2013 Final Round The Men´s and Women´s EFC Final Round will be played in Sportová Hala, Trencin, Slovakia, 9th - 13th October 2013 with 12 teams (6 men´s teams and 6 women´s teams)- WFC 2013Women´s WFC 2013 The 9th Women´s World Floorball Championships is played in Brno and Ostrava, Czech Republic, December 7th - 15th. A total of 13-14 games will be televised to at least 5 countries from the WFC 2013, which is a new record for the Women´s World Championships. Tickets can be bought on eventim.cz. Since the number of teams between the qualifications differ, the group sizes will be equalised by removing the results from the matches against the lowest placed teams in the larger-sized group before comparing the average results. 2014 Women´s U19 WFC Poland Women´s U19 WFC 2014 The Women´s U19 WFC 2014 will be played in Poland in the cities of Babimost, Rakoniewice and Zbaszyn between the 30th of April and the 4th of May, 2014 with 14 teams. New IFF Referees The Referee Committee decided to nominate 4 new referee pairs to be referees in the referee development group and also to nominate 1 new referee observer. The referees are: 1. Richard Melisek/Tomas Beno, Slovakia 2. Roman Sklenica/Marek Vlasek, Slovakia 3. Andrade de Mendonca/Alejandro de Santisteban, Spain 4. Tibor Kiss/Tamas Patrik Majorosi, Hungary The referee observer is: Adrian Kretz, Switzerland New IFF Member Federation in Russia The National Floorball Federation of Russia applied to replace the Russian Floorball Federation as an IFF member. The IFF CB decided to approve the NFFR as the Russian IFF member and grant them with provisional membership, until they receive a more permanent accreditation from the Russian Ministry of Sport. IFF Material Regulations 2014 The proposed new changes to the IFF Material Regulations were approved and the new Material Regulations will come to force 1st of July 2014.
