News from OJVA competing in Orlando, Florida this week! Playing in the Open Division right now. 18s have had some great matches vs. great teams and have done well, now that we finally have everyone healthy. Lost in three to (#5) A5 19-17, lost to Muncianna (#2) in two good games, beat Red Rock in two, beat Magnum 18 in two, beat 1st Alliance in three, lost to Fusion(who won tourney last year) in two good games. This was the toughest pool in the tourney as Fusion, Muncieanna and 1st Alliance were #1 seeds the first day. Ended up on a three way tie with Fusion, 1st Allaince and lost in the playoff. So we dropped to the #19-24 division. Won all of our matches today beating Circle City in two, Skyline in three and Thunder Bay in two. So we are playing for 19th out of 48 teams on the final day. We stand at 6-3 right now. Big improvement over the #35 we came in at. Have played nothing but good quality teams and every match has been competitive. Have played the #2, #5, #7, #9 teams and have played well. All the teams that we have played are primarily seniors and we are 50% seniors and 50% juniors. Submitted by Steve Suttich.
