News from Teesside Peoples Assembly Against Austerity: Minutes from our meeting on 3 July are now available for download at goo.gl/Ihzm7I. Key points include: We are encouraging people to support the 10 July public sector strikes by sharing on social media statements, photographs, ‘selfies’, short videos, etc, conveying why they are backing the strike action and reporting from pickets and rallies. The social media hashtag to be used is #J10strike. We will be supporting the Peoples Assembly - North East stall at Durham Miners Gala on 12 July. More volunteers are needed for this action, so please get in touch if you can help. We affirmed solidarity with The Peoples NHS campaign against health service privatisation and our commitment to working with it. We mandated Liz and Stuart to represent Teesside PA at the Yorkshire regional gathering of Peoples Assemblies in York on 20 July. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 16 July at 7.15pm in St Marys Centre, Middlesbrough. Theres a Facebook event for that meeting at Teesside Peoples Assembly meeting.
