News media is intentionally misleading and evil... in case you - TopicsExpress

News media is intentionally misleading and evil... in case you didnt already know, just thought Id throw that out there. Just got a call from my mother. She wanted to know if I was aware that my phone conversations with Wyatt were being recorded. I said, Yes, why? She tells me it was reported in the news that in recorded phone conversations with his husband, Wyatt showed little remorse for his crimes, and was more concerned with how much time he was going to get. A.) I would like to point out that Wyatt also said in many conversations that he was sorry. And he still continues to apologize frequently. B.) We were instructed by his lawyer NOT to discuss specifics of the case on the phone, so why would he be talking about what happened and how guilty he felt during a RECORDED PHONE CALL? C.) Isnt it common sense that... regardless of the crime comitted... that the length of prison sentence would be one of the foremost things on your mind? D.) The judge never listened to the phone calls. He merely read the transcripts of them which were written out by the prosecutions detective, with his own personal slant put on them. I read them. He included his perceptions, his interpretations, and his own (often incorrect) opinions into the transcript, rather than simply transcribing the conversation verbatim. The DA, along with the news media, have put a slant onto this entire thing to make it look as bad as possible. Its bad enough on its own... I dont know why they feel they need to do that. I would ask all of you who consider yourselves to be my friend to understand this, to understand that I would not stand by him if I thought he was a monster, and to take anything you hear on the news with a grain of salt. Thank you.
