Newsletter Weese/Vance/Rapp Reunion Tuesday July 23, 2013 Hoping to see you and your family at the 87th Weese/Vance/Rapp Reunion on Sunday, August 4th 2013. As usual being held at the beautiful Yoctangee Park just north of downtown Chillicothe Ohio. Fellowship will begin at 12 noon with a covered dish being served at 1:00pm. The Yoctangee Park is a first class facility in Chillicothe and for those who have not been there you will not be disappointed. This Park has a beautiful lake with fishing, tennis courts, restroom facilities with running water (and yes-flush toilets). There is even a playground like no other you have seen next to the shelter house for the kids. And don’t forget the Scioto River which is right across the levy for some good fishing. Why not call that aunt, uncle, cousin, brother or sister you have not seen at the reunion in past years and invite them along for the day. Better yet some of the branches of the Weese family have not been seen in years (we just may have a member of the Allen Weese family this year). Plenty of shade and great food and the weather hopefully will cooperate this year. We all need to do our part and bring someone that we haven’t seen in a while. Also we now have an active e-mail list that I can use to send this directly to you and save on postage. So make sure we have your e-mail address on the special sign in sheet or send them directly to me at the address on the bottom of this letter. Once again I would like for people to bring tables since our new vehicle cannot handle the eight foot tables anymore. Last year the attendance was down because of the rain but remember-we have a shelter house to keep the rain off. Keep up the good work on the food brought in-looks like a pretty good mix of items every year. Bring a covered dish or desert or better yet some sort of meat. Also don’t forget your lawn chairs as soft drinks and water along with ice and conversation will be furnished. Hope to see you there Sec/Tres. Parker Higby Parkerh138@aol
