Newsroom Question of the Day: The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform debated a bill yesterday that would end door-to-door mail delivery for millions of Americans in favor of one centralized location by using communal or curbside boxes. The Postal Service reported a $1.9 billion loss for the first three months this year despite continued cost-cutting, a 2.3 percent rise in operating revenue and increased employee productivity. Republican committee chairman Darrell Issa of California says the move could save the post office $2 billion annually. What are your thoughts?
