~Next Clipper to Bring Snow, Wind to Minneapolis, Chicago~ The next storm in the series of Alberta Clippers will roll southeastward across the upper Mississippi Valley Friday night and into the Ohio Valley Saturday into Saturday night. While this storm will not be as strong as the clipper that brought high winds, moderate snow and multiple accidents to the region Thursday into Friday, it can bring enough snow to cause slippery travel. Blustery conditions during and in the wake of the storm can lead to some blowing and drifting snow with poor visibility at times. A few gusts can reach between 30 and 40 mph, mainly after the storm passes. Motorists should expect slow travel at times along I-94 in Minnesota and Wisconsin then along the I-64, I-70 and I-80 corridors from central Illinois to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Enough snow can fall to cause flight delays at Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The storm will turn more to the east Saturday night bringing a inch or two of snow to areas from Charleston, W.Va., and Roanoke, Va., to Pittsburgh and Cleveland. In the wake of the storm on Sunday, temperatures will briefly rebound, ahead of much colder air that will sweep in from northwest to southeast Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional clipper storms will follow during next week. ~Stay Tuned~
