Next destination...Rishikesh ! Planning a trip to Srichandra Gumpha, 8 km away from Rishikesh Ramjhula...an ancient cave with a small fountain and forest.This is here I met my friend,philosopher and guide...whom we address out of love as Guruji. He never preached anything...as he was a mouni (a vow taken not to speak ).He would bow down to all from kids to older ones...from birds to animals.The monkeys,elephants and snakes (mainly one black cobra) were his friends...Before he left for higher Himalayas ice region for higher tapasya, I asked him to say something about his life.He replied, " What is the identity of a dust particle ! ". He wont allow to be photographed or advertised,wont allow anyone to offer him money.His needs were very limited.No electricity...no water connection...no gas cyllinders...no chappals...no clothes (only a red loin cloth that he used to use for years )...no sweet or sour foods or fruits...no rice or cereals...no chillies and spices...no watch or calender (but he was extremely punctual and knows the value of time) and above all no sleep....I used to test him to know how genuine this person/baba would be.He would read my mind accurately/exactly (I used to address him as Antaryaamy ) and allow me to pursue my endeavors.Once I reported him that people are saying some bad words for him...he replied,"The tongue even though very softer than teeth and always surrounded by them, remain intact till the end.But, the teeth fall down." Since Sept 25th 1992, we have no physical contacts or communication.But,almost all the persons who came in contact with him believe that he would come one day...and we would enjoy his priceless company...in his silence we penetrate deep into our own being. Finding a Guru is the beginning of true journey of a meaningful life !!
