Next to Iran and Israel (before Zionist occupation when Palestinians were living there with no problems) I know no other area in the Middle East where Africans and those of mixed African ancestry (which is alot believe it or not thank slavery and before that war and immigration for that)live in harmony with their non African neighbors than in Syria. Iran has folks like the Elamites who are now simply called Afro-Iranians and they are treated good but do receive some problems. Palestinians since the days Israelites were scattered by the Hellenes and Romans lived well with Africans large numbers of Palestinians are descendant of such. Even under Zionist oppression both people live and die together against foreign imperialism but that is starting to loosen with the rise of Arabism and extreme pro arab nationalism. Some may quote Iraq but thats false the Zanj people are treated like dirt and have been since even before Saddam Insane (he treated them as the meaning of their unwanted name too) and after NATO occupation the problem only increased. Syria (going by the few Syrian friends I personally know) are much more tolerant. Syria is Syrian first ethnic and religion comes later. That is why the few remaining Africans of Syria and the less known yet equally important Afro-Syrian-Arabs lived nicely especially under both president Assads. Now all this said do you see anyone with a hint of African blood getting lynched in Damascus? Do you see wholesome slaughter and oppression done by the Syrians? Do you see ANYONE being oppressed and made second class citizens? Do you see the military or police killing anyone left and right for no reason other than the color of ones skin? Nope. The Assads made sure like the Assyrians of old that unity, pluralism and tolerance is the morals of living. Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada to an extent and the most infamous of them all the USA with some other nations in the Americas and Asia should take notes. Whether youre an Arab, Assyrian Arab, Persian, African, Chinese, Russian, Mongol or whatever. In Syria youre free. Youre equal. Youre tolerated. Youre protected. Youre loved. Youre SYRIAN. Besides. People in the Middle East aside from certain Arabs like those whos ancestors are inland Arabians or in the East are related to Africans anyways. Were closer than you think. Were cousins. Divided well fall as in the past but together Africa and Asia will no longer be taken advantaged of. -Unknown Thought I share this.
