Next to my shop is an open field that they are breaking ground on. So in the past few weeks I have had lots of bugs looking for new homes in my shop. I spend a large chunk of money making sure pests dont get into my facility. Even my pest guy has told me that until they finish construction, it is going to be an uphill battle. Still, being clean is important to my business and bugs to not say clean, so I must vigilent. Just a moment ago a brand new customer says to me, I just killed a cockroach on your carpet. (For the record, it was not a cockroach) Horrified, I grab my dustpan and broom and immediately go grab the dead little carcass. As I am doing so, the same women says, I just killed another one. SHIT! I think to myself. This never happens as my carpet gets vacuumed every morning and bugs rarely come out in the light. Now twice! Again, i jump into action. I go and pick up the squished bug very embarrassed that this woman has seen two bugs crawling around my play floor. As I am picking up the dead faux roach the same woman says very loudly, Is that a rat? There was a freaking mouse tucked up against the leg of one of my stool. Great first impression! Two roaches and a mouse. Oh yeah, shes gonna be a customer for life I am sure.
