Nicaraua: Seniors and Elderly started a Sit-in protest on Monday to demand retirement payments on the premises of the Nicaraguan Social Security Institute (INSS) This afternoon, three youths identified as Byron Rivas, Esler Sobalvarro and Jairo Contreras, were arrested by the National Police, presumably to provide water to the protesting Senior starting Monday at the premises of the Nicaraguan Social Security Institute (INSS). According to witnesses of fact, young people were beaten and taken in a van to the Police Station 6, however, is believed to have been brought to the Directorate of Legal Aid (DAJ), better known as The Chipote. This afternoon the elderly and other people broke the police cordon that kept isolated members of the National Senior Unit (UNAM), who remain prostrate in front of the central building of the INSS, demanding his reduced pension. In the melee, some elderly people were reported beaten and arrested the young Luis Carlos Poveda Valdivia, who had joined the protest.
