Nice project! French designerAdrien Colombié is on a mission to document the fingerprints of people from all over the world for his ambitious project ‘Humans of the World.’ Described as “an artistic survey of earth’s inhabitants”, Colombié’s goal is to connect the stories of different strangers together with their fingerprints, and bring them together in a book. Starting 30 July, he will approach and interview a different person each day over a period of 365 days, gathering their experiences and stories in the form of photographs, videos and fingerprints. Each fingerprint represents a personal connection between the reader and the person. The book is a compilation of 50 of the most memorable people he meets, and will consist of notes about each person, their hopes, dreams and achievements, amongst others. Besides interviewing ordinary humans, he plans to meet around 30 colorful characters including “a famous DJ in Hong Kong to a former prisoner in Bangkok, to an entrepreneur from the favelas.”
