"Nigeria my COUNTRY" back in those days in my primary where i stood in the assemble ground and sang the song. Its up again where you wake up in the morning with some national issues that make your heart beat in your hands....... The issues of CONSTITUTION AMMENDMENT is one of those sort.Its only in Nigeria that someone will do something that demands grave consequences and still stand not only to justify it but incorporates it in the nations constitution. I thought it is one of the media gestures few years ago when it was brought to the nations notice that GOV. and now SEN. YERIMA married a 12years old girl. To my greatest surprise was i seing the same person stood up admist of the Nigerian senators last tuesday to debate the fact that GIRL CHILD MARRIAGE should be included in the countries constitution against 18yrs which was previously in the constitution.To shape the long story,its now being ammended in line with the senators view. My questions are these: 1. What were the women senators doing when issues liker these were debated? hmmmmm....let me believe they went to ease themselves of 65ml bottle waters they were served. 2. What of the likes of Sen.Ngige and Ifeanyi who are medical practitioners? Have they forgotten of the gynecological fisfula associated with such devilish decision.Let me believe they have all forgotten that while wallowing the national cake. CHAI!!! where are those women that did the popular ABA WOMEN RIOT? we need their rappers off their waist because issues has come again. Let me put down my pen before i will shade blood like tears here.But let leave this question fo you.......ARE WE GROWING???
