Nigeria2015: Ogun Senatorial Aspirant Pledges Scholarship for Hundreds Tertiary Institution Students By; Yemi Oyeleye Igbogila, Yewa North, Ogun State. A SENATORIAL aspirant in Ogun west district, Mr. Oyeleye Emmanuel Bolaji, who is contesting on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress [APC] has promised to institute a scholarship scheme in which hundreds tertiary institution students will benefit yearly. Oyeleye, a Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) & Managing Director (MD) of Savvy Capital Limited, who spoke in Igbogila earlier today, when he visited the venue of towns voters registration, the popular community viewing hall opposite the healths centre, his native town Igbogila of Yewa-north of Ogun west Nigeria, said his decision to award scholarship was informed by the high number of youth dropping out of school yearly. He blamed political office holders for allegedly not complementing state governments efforts in the rebuilding mission to tackle the challenges in the education sector. He said where youth, whom he described as the foundation and pillars of development in any country in the world, are not given quality education, such a country is not only sitting on a time bomb, but will not develop. The people of my senatorial zone are suffering from untold hardship due to poor representation in the countrys national assembly, it is their sad condition that forced me to seek a platform that I can use to liberate them from the situation and the claws of poverty, he said. Oyeleye, claimed that as an entrepreneur, he provided many basic social amenities to his community and that if given the opportunity at a higher level, his people will fully enjoy the dividends of democracy. As an entrepreneur, I provided basic social amenities to my immediate community, so if my people vote me I will ensure that all the basic infrastructure are provided for the people of western zone, he stated. While speaking at the occasion, the leader BJ Vanguard, Elder Segun Taiwo fondly called Consuler, said that based on the forthcoming primary election of the APC and general election, BJ is the only qualify aspirant with the youthful potential and coupled fear of God to get the Senatorial ticket. We have five local governments in the western part of our senatorial district, Ado-Odo Ota, Yewa north, Ipokia, Yewa south and Imeko-Afon. All these five councils endorsed and support BJ, it is only he Bolaji Oyeleye (BJ) that they together endorsed & support, so I think Oyeleye who is from Ibese ward of Igbogila and the prime aspirant with youthful potential and coupled fear of God from the area deserves the seat, he said. He pointed out that APC will no longer tolerate people that are out only to defend their family interest against the interest of the public to get the partys ticket. We in western zone are prepared this time to deal with the so called Abuja candidates. They come home only when they want our votes, this time it is not going be easy for such politicians to get our votes. It is left for APC to either allow the people to choose their leaders or give the Abuja politicians ticket and lose the election.
