Night of Asia Shares the Best of Asian Culture In just three years Night of Asia, the largest Asian festival in Jacksonville, has made quite an impression in the community by sharing Asian culture, cuisine and traditions with thousands of people on the First Coast. It’s the A.S.I.A employee resource group’s signature event and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is the title sponsor for the 2014 event, which will be held Sept. 26 at the new Celebration Church. “Last year’s event sold out with over 1,200 attendees, so this year we plan to double in size and expect over 2,500 attendees at a new, larger venue,” said James Yin, president of Night of Asia. “If you’re not familiar with Night of Asia, it is an exciting event, with spectacular entertainment and attendees dressed in festive and even traditional Asian attire.” The evening includes impressive entertainment, with cultural performances, dancing and an amazing selection of foods from international restaurants. National level talent, representing numerous Asian countries, will perform acrobatics, martial arts, dance and more. Participants will also have the chance to network with community leaders, bid on the silent auction and top off the evening with dancing to the music of a great DJ. Tickets for the event are $20 in advance and $30 at the door; for Night of Asia tickets and information, visit nightofasia.org A portion of all proceeds will go to local charities.
