Nikhil, Its been two year since I met you and took a walk with you near the cooum river while you kept wanting to go back and eat your ice cream! I profusely thank tamil matrimony, Vodafone, Warwick, Skoda Superb and your mothers writing abilities -They made your profile attractive and interesting. I also thank boat club for this is were i first saw you walk in through the glass door - off white linen shirt, faded blue jeans, shiny black converse, a curly mop of unruly hair and those mesmerizing golden brown eyes. Your chivalry was old worldly (especially while dumping vegetables on my plate!). Your love for fresh lime soda- sweet intrigued me. (still does!) You failing to dig your nose or scratch your ears worried me (this was our code! if we liked each other we would do one of the two. What else could we do sandwiched between two sets of parents bragging never- endingly about their childs proficiency.) I am sure your mother wondered if i had an ear infection - i scratched non stop! Your ability to show off pissed the daylights out of me. Your single minded goal about finishing your dessert made me wonder if I was that dull and yet your smile melted some hard part of my heart. Your decency to walk 7 ft apart made me wish you came closer. I fervently wished youd hint at liking me or compliment me on the symmetry of my right toe or something! (I was aptly over dressed for the occasion!) I was sad when I came back home. I was angry, confused. I dint know what to make of a pompous git who dint scratch his ears, who bragged non stop and who chose ice cream over me. And then you texted me So what do you think about me? I like you a lot! And the rest is history... I forgive you for your sweet-toothed gluttony. But i am never going to forget that day which changed my life for good. Thank God we met! I love you! -Your wife
