Niki and I saw Big Hero 6 at the Starplex tonight, and we loved it! As the trailers indicated, the people who brought us Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph put together this film, and we positively adore it! (I want my own Baymax, please.) Just coming off of Interstellar last weekend, I didnt think another films visuals would blow me away like that for a while. And while I recognize that this is an animated flick, that shouldnt discredit all the hard work that went into creating how stunning Hiros world was! It was all astounding! (And lets not forget about the whole short film that was shown before it. It was called Feast and I am unashamed enough to say that I was blubbering through it even though it was a quick one.) But yeah, Big Hero 6 is a must-see! (Plus theres a new Fall Out Boy song in the movie too! Now it makes total sense why one of their other hits was playing during the first trailer that came out for this. I always thought that song selection was a tiny bit out of place, but now I see why they did it: it was sort of a plug for the new single that played during the film itself.) Big Hero 6 is a better-than-average kids movie with cross-generational appeal thats also kind of like a kids version of Guardians of the Galaxy in a way. Its action-packed, downright hilarious, and heartwarming in all the ways you want it to be and more. Go see #BigHero6, friends!
