Nine Facts About Me 1) I have a boot addiction. My current boot inventory from my head (after getting rid of a ton of stuff before Iris was born last winter) includes: five pairs of cowboy boots (brown, tan Justins, black Justins, green alligator, red & pink Luccheses that I got married in), two pairs of motorcycle boots (red Frye & brown Ariat), three pairs of Uggs (short tan, tall brown, tall black lace up), knee high lace up Fryes, knee high lace up Minnetonka moccasin style, white fur, two pairs of Bogs ( classic black & grey tweed), Sorels with fur, & Ariat & Justin work boots. And whatever Ive forgotten. 2) I really like Britney Spears. 3) I tend to believe that all Mountain Goats & Magnetic Fields songs are about me. 4) I cant resist this sort of meme, which is why I am doing this. I used to fill out tons & tons of myspace surveys. I guess I am a verbal exhibitionist. 5) My most memorable celebrity encounters are waiting on both Patti Smith & Noah Wylie in the bookstore I worked at when I lived in NYC, & sitting a couple of rows behind Trent Reznor at a showing of Spirited Away in New Orleans. Ive also waited in line to get autographs from Ginger Spice & Will Smith. 6) Ive lived, in roughly 25 different homes (18 apartments since Ive lived on my own) in Chico CA, New Bedford MA, Brewster MA, Providence RI, Brooklyn NY, San Francisco CA, New Orleans LA, Northampton MA, North Hadley MA, & Greenfield MA. 7) No food is ever spicy enough for me unless I make it myself. I put sriracha on everything. In general I prefer food I make myself to anything else. 8) I have a tendency to dress my daughter like a hipster baby dyke. 9) My favorite book is a tie between The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith, Liquor by Poppy Z. Brite, & Not the End Of the World by Kate Atkinson. Also all the works of Haruki Murakami & A.S. Byatt.
