Nine years ago today I headed to Oceanside for what I thought would be a typical day at the beach. Thanks to Kassia Meador, CLAIRE BEVO BEVILACQUA, Mary Bagalso, Prue Jeffries, Kyla Langen, Summer Romero, Crystal CJ da Silva, Malia Fuertes, and Kim Mayer, my drive home was anything but normal. These women probably left the water not realizing anything major had gone down other than some great turns and nose rides, but to me it was a defining moment. I hope they all know that they made a huge impact in my life and the direction it would take and every time July 22 rolls around, my thoughts return to that special session that changed everything.
