Nine years ago today was the saddest day of my life. As you can see from my cover photo, Help Remember Heather, ATRT Research, Find a Cure!...Heather was a very special niece to me. She was always ready to go with me where ever I would go. We had many long talks over the years especially the last year of her life. I will never forget the conversations we had because they are some of the most precious moments in my life. She loved our family with all her heart as we loved her with all our hearts. She would be so proud of her cousin, Brett Lee Bumgarner for the man he has become. She would be right here celebrating with us if she could be. Im sure she has been his guardian angel keeping him safe all of these years, because she loved him so. Today I am sad because Heather cant be here with us to celebrate this wonderful time in Bretts life, but I am also so happy that she is without all the pain and suffering that she was in the day she left us here on earth. Heaven is a much better place to be, we know because of the smile that came upon her face the day she left us. So dont be sad ... celebrate.... thats what she would want us to do...because she is, I just know it!!!
