#Nirbhaya 3 cops allegedly #rape migrant girl in Reasi =>Learning no lessons from infamous Damini rape case in Delhi, three cops including a Personal Assistant (PA) of SSP Reasi allegedly raped a Talwara migrant girl after kidnapping her from Reasi last night. Police managed to arrest two cops including an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) police while the kingpin and main accused PA of SSP Reasi managed to escape during police raid. He was still at large when reports last came in. The rape of a hapless poor girl by men in Khaki triggered protest. At least 100 Talwara migrants including women and family members of the victim staged a sit in at a bridge over Chenab river thus choking vehicular traffic on Reasi-Ransoo road for an hour. Police sources said that acting upon specific information, police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Reasi Jagdev Singh conducted a raid on a rented accommodation of Personal Assistant (PA) of SSP Reasi at Marhi, at 2.30 AM. The raiding cops nabbed SPO Karnail Singh, who was working as cook in the house of PA and an 18-year-old girl of Jij at present Talwara Migrant Camp. Head Constable Satvinder Singh PA of SSP Reasi and ASI Mahesh Mehta managed to escape from the house taking advantage of darkness. The girl was subjected to medical examination in the wee hours before being shifted to Police Station, Reasi. Police swung into action immediately and managed to arrest ASI Mahesh Mehta from Reasi in the morning while Head Constable Satvinder Singh was still at large. The protesting Talwara migrants alleged that the local SHO helped the main accused to flee from Reasi. The girl was shifted to court for recording her statement under section 164 CrPC but the judge observed that the victim was mentally shocked and recording of her statement was deferred for a day. At least 100 Talwara migrants including women and family members of victim staged a sit in at a bridge over Chenab river and choked vehicular traffic on Reasi-Ransoo road for an hour between 2.00 PM to 3.00 PM. Condemning the shameful incident of rape the cops, considered as saviour of people, the protestors demanded immediate arrest of the main accused, who was at large and stern action against the culprits. Chandu Ram, father of victim, said that he is a poor man and cops have kidnapped his daughter since yesterday. They took her in their room and after consuming liquor raped her. He lodged a complaint of kidnapping of his daughter in Police Station Reasi. Police ironically has registered a case of kidnapping under section 366 and 34 RPC against the accused in Police Station Reasi and no section of 376 RPC have been added as the medical details are awaited. Chairman of Talwara Migrants and a social activist Koushalya Rajpur blamed the police for hushing up the case keeping in view involvement of some influential cops. They demanding hanging of all the accused in similarity to the rape accused in Damini case.
