Nite all. Tonight when we arrived in DC I tried the transportation app UBER. It is about 25% less than a cab. I was able to see the drivers picture , make and model of his car and license number prior to arrival. I could see where his car was on a map and ETA. It provided me with a fare estimate ahead of time on my phone. We will be using it to get around DC and I will review. When the driver arrived he called me by name. So far so good. The fare is paid automatically with a credit card on file when you register and sign up with Uber. You do not need to have the card with you. Uber is nationwide transportation service started 2 years ago. Sleep well....
