Nitish Kumar is being bullied by Sharad Yadav, his colleague and mentor in the Janata Dal(United). Nitish Kumar is a very popular leader and there is no doubt about it. Lot of party workers and legislators want him to occupy the top chair in the state but Sharad Yadav(and his own little subgroup) have other plans. Sharad Yadav represents the frustration of an underachieving yet resourceful man. Sharad Yadav was handpicked by Jayaprakash Narayan himself in 1974 in a by-election for the Jabalpur seat which he comfortably won. Sharad Yadav has been the favorite of stalwarts like Devi Lal and Chaudhary Charan Singh. At one point of time, he was even considered as an iconic socialistic national leader. Lalu Prasad Yadav grew under his tutelage. Nitish Kumar was mentored by him. But he got nothing in return. He was never considered for the post of CM, he has always been one of those branded “Party Chief” material. And Nitish humiliated Yadav by denying him a Rajya Sabha admission. His power of endurance finally gave way to his opportunistic instincts and the rift with Nitish is a testimonial of it. It is the time of utter chaos in Bihar. With Sharad Yadav wanting to form an alliance with Lalu Prasad Yadav, Biharis can only forward to further chaos. In this battle between Nitish and Sharad, it is the Biharis wholl end up at the losing side!
