No. 37 Chalcot Crescent, London: The house where Jose Rizal lived while annotating the work of Antonio de Morgas Los Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas of which only on extant copy was housed in the British Museum Library which is 15-20 min. walk from here. The house was owned by the Beckett family of which the eldest daughter Gertrude was said to fall in love with him. The area is located near Primrose Hill Park which is on the north corner of Regents Park. The British model Kate Moss, actor Jude Law and singer Robbie Williams are now the famous residents. The house is now owned by an Englishman married to an american lady with a Filipina maid from Mindanao who was kind enough to let me take some pictures of the inside of the house.
