I am working as a volunteer under a professor in my field of study. I have few concerns about the future step if I dont get job in 12 months period. 1. I am planning that I will change my status (COS) to F2 (while my spouse is in F1 OPT) if I dont get any job within this 1st 12 month of OPT. Can you kindly tell me if you have heard that USCIS had rejected application of changing status to F2 while spouse is in F1 OPT and specially the applicant was in volunteer work for entire 12 month of initial OPT? 2. I know that COS takes around 3 months to be process will apply for COS to F2. Now, if it happens that while my application of COS to F2 is pending, my spouse will apply for his OPT application during that time, will it cause denial of COS to F2?
