Cats who are born feral do not suffer in the wild. Yet in many places officials continue to round them up and exterminate them. All life is sacred, and they deserve compassion and respect too. TNR is the best way to manage their populations while allowing them to live their lives. Support your local TNR/TAR programs and urge your local officials to retire antiquated trap-and-kill ordinances and laws, based upon false beliefs, that target felines and the people who care for them. Recent studies have also found, that contrary to propaganda and false science spread by cat haters, feral cats do NOT negatively impact native wildlife species. (They actually restore balance to damaged ecosystems.) Unless they are hopelessly ill and suffering, there is no reason to kill cats, ever.
