No Pressure They tie up heavy loads, hard to bear, and place - TopicsExpress

No Pressure They tie up heavy loads, hard to bear, and place them on mens shoulders, but they themselves will not lift a finger to help bear them. Matthew 23:4 One of the many ways we can love people is to allow them to be who they are. What I mean by this is what we shouldnt pressure others to be or do anything; we should accept who God has created them to be and what He has called them to do. We often expect more out of people then they are able to give, and when we continue to put pressure on them over a period of time, our relationships with them often fail. We should expect the best of people, but at the same time we need to remember that they are only human. All of us need the freedom to be who we are. We want to be accepted unconditionally. This doesnt mean we dont know we need to change in certain ways. It means we dont want other people telling us how we need to change in order to be accepted by them. When we disapprove of others they can sense it. It is In our tone of voice and in our body language, even if it isnt in our words. When we want people to change, we cannot accomplish that by pressuring or nagging them. For change to be lasting, it must come from the inside. Only God can affect that type of heart change in someone. But one thing is for sure, God wont change people when we are trying to change them. He has a hands off policy when working in human lives. We keep our hands off and He works!! Love Others Today: Do you need to take the pressure off some people in your life? Think it over. If so, I urge you to do it.
