No Rebase is in Port Huron and ready to sail the 2013 Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race! This year’s crew includes Ralph Richards, Bruce Richardson, Ray Templin, Tracy Dixon, Anthony Masseur, and Joe Smyk. We will be sailing on the Shore Course in Division II this year. No Rebase is starting at 1 pm Saturday in the Level 126 class. All the boats have a 126 handicap so the first boat across the finish line wins: usually sometime on Monday, but Sunday night or Tuesday afternoon have happened too. Right now the weather looks good with temperatures in the 70’s, breezes at 6 to 8 knots, and no rain, but the weatherman’s lips were moving when he said that. ;-) The whole race can be followed on the internet or even a smartphone: The race website is bycmack. From there you can get to the Race Tracking. The Race Tracking site has a “TEAMS” tab on the left side. Checking Level 126 will show the boats we are racing against in our class. You may want to uncheck the other classes for a clearer view. The smartphone app is “Yellowbrick Race Viewer”. Select “Teams” at the bottom, then “Groups” in the upper right corner and check Level 126. You may want to uncheck the other classes for a clearer view. Then select “Maps” to see where we are.
