No Seatbelt Allows Fatal Injuries to Speeding Driver in Dixie County Accident FHP reported that Forlepay Lee Jenkins, 49, of Cross City, was speeding in his 2011 Chevy Impala LT and died early Thursday morning at 1 a.m. when he crashed the vehicle on CR 351-A, 10 miles north of Cross City. Jenkins was reported by the Florida Highway Patrol as traveling south on CR 351 at approximately 81 mph in a posted 45 mph zone when he drove right through a left curve in the road and then overcompensated veering off the road and over a private driveway. Jenkins travelled for 114 feet and overturned to go another 116 feet before stopping. Jenkins did not have a seatbelt on and showed evidence of being tossed around within the interior of the vehicle sustaining critically fatal injuries.
