“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I - TopicsExpress

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead” - Philippians 3:13, NLT. When things don’t go as planned, most people automatically try to figure out why. Of course, it’s good to evaluate yourself and look for ways to do better next time, but you have to be careful. It certainly doesn’t take long to slip into the “if only” syndrome - If only I had gone to college - If only I had married that person - If only I had gotten that job I hope you realize something very important: - You can’t move forward if you’re living your life looking backward - You can’t change the past - You must let go before you can move forward Today, if you’re thinking, Life would have been different if only I had this or if only that had happened, let it go. Trust that God is guiding your steps. It may not make a lot of sense right now, but if you’ll let go of those things that didn’t work out and stay in faith, He will take you exactly where you need to be. One of my favorite songs - enjoy! youtube/watch?v=OM8eVnrf8OQ
