No internet yesterday or today while in the Nantou countys southeast maountains in Sinyi Township. Experienced my first ever hot spring, was introduced to a couple of the aboriginal tribes (one only in a touristy surface sense and another in a much more personal way), got a little lucky glimpse of Yu Shan before clouds enveloped it, and got to see the massive difference between very light use of pesticides and fertilizers right next to all-natural pest controls and mulch fertilizer on growth of tea bushes. Had to really get up into the mountains to find road qualities similar to the country roads in Sonoma County, and even then most of the wear was from the massive typhoon damage that repairs have been going on to fix for the past two years. Now Im back in the New Taipei area for the rest of the trip.
