No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. - TopicsExpress

No man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. (1Cor 12:3) THIS by far is one of the clearest evidence that a man has been filled with the Holy Spirit. I.e. He confesses Christ as Lord! Not the Christ who is knocking on the door of every mans heart, but the Christ who quickens whomsoever He will! (John 5:21) And God still heals. There is no denying that. All we are saying is that there is no one walking around with a gift of healing. And the spectacular healings recorded in the Book of Acts are a thing of the past. If any man (or woman) claims to have this gift of healing they should be able to heal just like our Lord and His Apostles healed. THEY healed at will and HEALED ALL that came to them. And they were not just healing fevers and headaches but VISIBLE deformities. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. (Luke 7:22) Once the Cannon of the Scriptures were closed, there was no need for supernatural manifestations. Whoever is saved NOW, is saved by faith in the scriptures ALONE and not by witnessing a healing miracle. And for the most part almost all who believe in Pentecostalism also believe in Arminianism and all the other errors that go with it. Only lately has the enemy made inroads into the Reformed camp with his Pentecostal errors.(MJ)
